• a brazilwood bow

The first 3 months rent, $ 89.97, is charged upfront. Then, you will be billed monthly at $ 29.99+tax.

Rental questions, answered

How does the rental plan work?
Month to month, with the first three months paid upfront. After that it bills automatically, and you can return the instrument at any time — just bring it back by the last day of the month to avoid the next charge.

What happens when my child outgrows the instrument?
Bring it in and we exchange it for the next size — exchanges are part of the plan, and your purchase equity continues uninterrupted through each one. During the school year, we can often make violin and viola exchanges happen at your school if you're in our service area: Katy, CyFair, Fort Bend, or Lamar CISD.

Is renting throwing money away?
Not the way we structure it: 100% of your rental fees (excluding maintenance and tax) build equity you can apply toward up to half the list price of any in-stock instrument (consignments excluded) — and that equity carries through every size exchange as your player grows. What does the maintenance plan cover?
Broken bridges, bows, and strings, plus the general upkeep of the instrument. Bring it in during business hours and most work happens while you wait. It doesn't cover theft from a car, heat damage, or lost or intentionally damaged instruments — so please, never leave an instrument in a hot Texas car.

What happens if the rental needs a repair?
Bring it in during business hours — the maintenance plan covers broken bridges, bows, strings, and general upkeep, and most work happens while you wait. If you attend a school in our service area (Katy, CyFair, Fort Bend, or Lamar CISD), we may be able to take care of certain repairs or exchanges at school.

Can I reserve an instrument before school starts?
Yes — pre-orders are simply the first three months' rent, fully refundable any time before the rental begins. The instrument is set up and waiting on day one.

Should we return the instrument over the summer?
We'd gently suggest not — for two reasons. Summer practice, even light, is what keeps fall from being a restart — just like math and other subjects. And equity ends when the instrument is returned for good, so renting through the summer keeps your purchase credit building uninterrupted.

How do payments work?
Rentals bill automatically each month to the card on file. If a payment becomes difficult, call us — we'd rather work out a solution together than let an account drift.
